2. MXST6MXDT(メキシコシティの時間帯)が米国の2007年夏時間変更を示してい
ます。
問題点の説明:

米国の2007年DST変更を反映するように、夏時間を適用するすべての米国およ
びカナダの時間帯を更新する必要があります。
また、メキシコ政府は米国の2007年夏時間変更を導入しないことを決定したの
で、メキシコ固有の時間帯が米国の2007年DST変更を反映していてはいけませ
ん。
ところが、この情報に関して、以下の矛盾が判明しました。
1. 米国の2007年夏時間変更を導入するように以下の米国およびカナダの時間
帯が更新されていない。
a) 米国 -- AST10ADTおよびYST9YDT
b) カナダ -- AST4ADT、NST3:30NDT、PST8PDT#Canada、MST7MDT#Canada、

反映するように更新されている。

tztabを以下のように更新しました。

PST8PDT、MST7MDTおよびCST6CDTをそれぞれ使用していたメキシコの各地域

Defect Description:

All US and Canada timezones which follow Daylight Saving
must be updated with US 2007 DST changes.
None of the Mexico specific Timezones should reflect US 2007
DST changes as Mexico government has decided that it will
not implement US 2007 Daylight Saving changes.
With reference to this information following discrepancies
were found:-
1. Timezones of US and Canada listed below were not updated
to implement US 2007 Daylight Saving changes:-
a) US -- AST10ADT and YST9YDT
b) Canada -- AST4ADT, NST3:30NDT, PST8PDT#Canada,
MST7MDT#Canada, CST6CDT#Canada and EST5EDT#Canada
2. The Mexico city timezone MXST6MXDT was updated with US
2007 Daylight Saving Changes.
These discrepancies need to be corrected.
Resolution:
The following updations are made to tztab:-
1. US 2007 Daylight Saving changes are implemented for
timezones of US and Canada listed below:-
a) US -- AST10ADT and YST9YDT
b) Canada -- AST4ADT, NST3:30NDT, PST8PDT#Canada,
MST7MDT#Canada, CST6CDT#Canada and EST5EDT#Canada
2. US 2007 Daylight Saving changes are removed for Mexico
City timezone MXST6MXDT.
3. New timezones PSM8PDM, MSM7MDM and CSM6CDM are added to
serve Mexico. It is recommended to use these timezones in
the regions of Mexico which were using PST8PDT, MST7MDT and
CST6CDT respectively.

US government has decided to change the DST rules starting
in 2007. Mexico has not yet completely decided whether,
they will follow the US DST rules or not. Some of the
provinces in Mexico may decide to go for the new US rules,
some may decide not to go. Hence Mexico will have following
timezones in addition to existing timezones, to take care
of both the situation.
The Mexico Timezones are as follows:

DST is introduced in Western Australia. The new timezone
WST-8WDT is introduced to take care of this change.

In 2007, some provinces/territories in Canada will change
the start and stop dates for Daylight Saving Time. The
existing timezone entries should account for situations,
where a province/territory decide either to follow or not
to follow DST changes. The entries for Newfoundland and
Atlantic Timezones are added to accomodate above situation.

For the Commonwealth games to be held in Melbourne Australia
in 2006, the DST is shifted by one week for year 2006. DST
will be shifted from last Sunday of March to first Sunday
of November for the year 2006.

shifted to second Sunday of March and first Sunday of
November, respectively from year 2007 onwards.

2. Login as root.
3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.
4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

5. Run swinstall to install the patch:

By default swinstall will archive the original software in
/var/adm/sw/save/PHCO_36097. If you do not wish to retain a

Special Installation Instructions:
While it is not strictly required to reboot
the system after modifying the rules in the
/usr/lib/tztab file, running processes using
a timezone with a changed rule need to be
restarted to apply the new rules. Processes
like cron(1M), which depend on proper
interpretation of timestamps in the future,
should be restarted as soon as possible.
Processes that only timestamp messages should
be restarted before the changes take effect.
