(SR: 8606493691 CR: JAGag45624)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 541351
When you are using the VEA GUI and you select
a failed or a disconnected disk and choose "Replace disk"
or "Recover disk", the following pop-up message appears:
"VEA Warning - Warning V-40-32775-14 - Out of memory".
The operation does not proceed further.
(SR: 8606493116 CR: JAGag45287)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 809169
VEA GUI does not display the layered volume state properly
after a plex detach/attach operation.
(SR: 8606493692 CR: JAGag45625)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 628116
When a mirror is added to a concatenated-mirror
or striped-mirror volume in VEA, and the
"Manually select disks for use by this volume"
is chosen, only the disks that are currently
allocated to the volume are listed.
The other disks in the disk group that are not
allocated to the volume are not displayed.
(SR 8606493695 CR: JAGag45628)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 496504
A red cross on the button of the VEA window is displayed.
On double-clicking, a popup dialog with the
java.lang.NullPointerException error appears.
(SR: 8606493696 CR: JAGag45629)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 500049
When clicking on the VEA Error console button,
a Null Pointer exception is displayed as an error in the
GUI (Graphical User Interface) format.

Defect Description:
PHCO_36653:
(SR: 8606493691 CR: JAGag45624)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 541351
An error condition was wrongly detected as an out
of memory condition.
Resolution:
The problem has been fixed. The error condition is
accurately detected and a relevant error message
is displayed.
(SR: 8606493116 CR: JAGag45287)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 809169
Plex detach/attach changes in layered volumes are not
being handled.
Resolution:
The code has been modified to handle plex changes in
layered volumes.
(SR: 8606493692 CR: JAGag45625)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 628116
The method used to determine disks that are available
for mirroring concatenated-mirror or striped-mirror
volume receives an incorrect parameter, and returns
only the current lists of disks that are assigned to
the volume.
Resolution:
The solution is to pass the correct parameter to
the function that determines the disks that are
available disks for mirroring concatenated-mirror
and striped-mirror volume.
(SR 8606493695 CR: JAGag45628)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 496504
A variable is not accurately initialized in the
java class, and this causes the Null Pointer Exception
problem.
Resolution:
The solution is to correctly initialize the variable
when creating a java class.
(SR: 8606493696 CR: JAGag45629)
SYMANTEC Incident Number: 500049
When clicking on the button at the location
Window menu -> tear Off -> Cluster Nodes,
the window will be cloned to produce a duplicate window.
An appropriate constructor method to clone a window and
instantiate a new one was missing from the previous
Java Class definition.
Resolution:
The solution is to add a correct constructor method
to the cloned java class.
