く終了します。
問題点の説明:
PHCO_37055:

ニュージーランドの法律によると、夏時間はニュージーランド標準時間の午前
2時に終了します。ところが、現在のtztab(4)のルールでは、夏時間がニュー
ジーランド標準時間の午前1時に終了していました。
解決方法:
ニュージーランド時間帯の夏時間がニュージーランド標準時間の午前2時に終
了するようにtztab(4)ファイルを修正しました。

1. Timezones of US and Canada listed below are not
reflecting the US 2007 Daylight Saving changes:
a) US -- AST10ADT(Aleutian Timezone) and
YST9YDT(Yukon Timezone)
b) Canada -- AST4ADT, NST3:30NDT, PST8PDT#Canada,
MST7MDT#Canada, CST6CDT#Canada and EST5EDT#Canada
2. There are no exclusive timezone entries for Mexico, to
serve its Daylight Saving rules

As per New Zealand law, the Day Light Saving time shall
cease at 2 a.m. New Zealand Standard time. The current
tztab(4) has rules, which causes the Day Light Saving time
to cease at 1 a.m. New Zealand Standard time.
Resolution:
tztab(4) file has been modified so that Day Light Saving
time ceases at 2 a.m. New Zealand Standard time, for
New Zealand time zone.

According to New-Zealand government law, from the year 2007
onwards, Daylight saving time will start from last Sunday in
September (a week earlier, than current) and will end on
first Sunday in April (two weeks later, than current).
Resolution:
tztab(4) has been modified to support New Zealand DST
changes.

All US and Canada timezones which follow Daylight Saving
must be updated with US 2007 Daylight Saving changes.
None of the Mexico specific timezones should reflect US 2007
Daylight Saving changes as Mexico government has decided
that it will not implement US 2007 Daylight Saving changes.
With reference to the above information it was found
that:-
1. Timezones of US and Canada listed below were not updated
to implement US 2007 Daylight Saving changes:-
a) US -- AST10ADT and YST9YDT
b) Canada -- AST4ADT, NST3:30NDT, PST8PDT#Canada,
MST7MDT#Canada, CST6CDT#Canada and EST5EDT#Canada
These timezones need to be updated for US 2007 Daylight
Saving changes
2. There are no separate timezone entries for Mexico
region. It was served using US timezone entries namely
PST8PDT, MST7MDT and CST6CDT.
New timezone entries need to be added to serve Mexico.
Resolution:
The following updations are made to tztab:-
1. US 2007 Daylight Saving changes are implemented for
timezones of US and Canada listed below:-
a) US -- AST10ADT and YST9YDT
b) Canada -- AST4ADT, NST3:30NDT, PST8PDT#Canada,
MST7MDT#Canada, CST6CDT#Canada and EST5EDT#Canada
2. New timezones PSM8PDM, MSM7MDM and CSM6CDM are added to
serve Mexico. It is recommended to use these timezones in
the regions of Mexico which were using PST8PDT, MST7MDT and
CST6CDT respectively.

1. Back up your system before installing a patch.
2. Login as root.
3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.
4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:
cd /tmp
sh PHCO_37055
5. Run swinstall to install the patch:
swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
-s /tmp/PHCO_37055.depot
By default swinstall will archive the original software in
/var/adm/sw/save/PHCO_37055. If you do not wish to retain a
copy of the original software, include the patch_save_files
option in the swinstall command above:
-x patch_save_files=false
WARNING: If patch_save_files is false when a patch is installed,
the patch cannot be deinstalled. Please be careful
when using this feature.
For future reference, the contents of the PHCO_37055.text file is
available in the product readme:

To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
tape drive, use the command:

Special Installation Instructions:
While it is not strictly required to reboot the system after
modifying the rules in the /usr/lib/tztab file, running
processes using a timezone with a changed rule need to be
restarted to apply the new rules. Processes like cron(1M),
which depend on proper interpretation of timestamps in the
future, should be restarted as soon as possible. Processes
that only timestamp messages should be restarted before the
changes take effect.
