RPC関連のコマンドやデーモンがクラッシュすることがあります。

setoncenvツールが、NFSおよびカーネルRPC関連の調整可能パラメータを表示
しません。また、setoncenvが、/etc/rc.config.d/nfsconfおよび
/etc/rc.config.d/namesvrsare内で一部の構成変数をサポートしません。
問題点の説明:
PHNE_36258:
1.(SR:8606472149 CR:JAGag27051)
未初期化変数を任意のレジスタに割り当てていました。そのため、それらのあ
るレジスタのNaTビットがセットされていると、"NaT Consumption Fault"によ
り、アプリケーションがクラッシュしていました。
解決方法:
未初期化変数を初期化するようにkeylogin、keyserv、where、rpcbind、
rpcgen、rpcinfoおよびrpc.rstatdのコードを修正しました。
2.(SR:8606463787 CR:JAGag19539)
kctuneコマンドを使って変更できるように、NFSおよびカーネルRPC関連変数の
一部を非公開型調整可能パラメータ値に変換していました。ところが、kctune
コマンドは公開型調整可能パラメータしか表示しません。また、setoncenvは
一部の構成変数をサポートしませんでした。
解決方法:
非公開のNFSおよびカーネルRPC関連の調整可能パラメータを表示するように
setoncenvツールを修正しました。また、欠落していた構成変数をsetoncenvに
追加しました。さらに、これらの変更を反映するようにsetoncenvのマンペー
ジも更新しました。

application crash.
Resolution:
Initialized the uninitialized variables in the keylogin,
keyserv, where, rpcbind, rpcgen, rpcinfo, and rpc.rstatd
code.

Some of the NFS and Kernel RPC variables have been converted
to private tunable values so they can be modified with the
kctune command. The kctune command only displays public
tunables. Also there are some configuration variables which
are not included in setoncenv.
Resolution:
Modified the setoncenv tool to display private NFS and
Kernel RPC tunables, added missing configuration variables
to setoncenv, and updated the setoncenv man page to document
the changes.

When rpcbind calls the logging function, it incorrectly
passes a structure to the logging function instead of a
pointer to the structure. This causes rpcbind to dump core
on IPF systems.
Resolution:
Modified rpcbind to call the logging function with a pointer
to the structure.

Buffer overflow occurs in some RPC daemons when the length
of the logfile name exceeds 64 characters. This causes the
creation of the logfile to fail.
Resolution:
Increased the size of the array that holds the logfile name
to the maximum path length. If the file name length exceeds
1023 characters, then the logfile name is truncated to 1023
characters.

There is a restriction that limits establishing quotas to
user ID's less than 67,000,000. The rpc.rquotad does not
currently support large files. Large files must be supported
to establish quotas for user ID's greater than or equal to
67,000,000.
Resolution:
Modified the rpc.rquotad to support large files. This
change, in conjunction with the optional HP-UX DiskQuota-Enh
feature, eliminates the restriction of only being able to
establish quotas for user ID's less than 67,000,000.

For an AutoFS loopback mount (LOFS), the filesystem name is
not passed correctly from the on command. This causes a
mount failure and thus the on command also fails.
Resolution:
Modified the on command to mount the correct filesystem for

obsoleted for the HP-UX 11i v2 release. The setoncenv

1. Back up your system before installing a patch.
2. Login as root.
3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.
4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:
cd /tmp
sh PHNE_36258
5. Run swinstall to install the patch:
swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
-s /tmp/PHNE_36258.depot
By default swinstall will archive the original software in
/var/adm/sw/save/PHNE_36258. If you do not wish to retain a
copy of the original software, include the patch_save_files
option in the swinstall command above:
-x patch_save_files=false
WARNING: If patch_save_files is false when a patch is installed,
the patch cannot be deinstalled. Please be careful
when using this feature.

available in the product readme:
swlist -l product -a readme -d @ /tmp/PHNE_36258.depot
To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
