ックアイコンを押したりすると、CDE画面ロックができません。

ja_JP.*ロケールの場合にI18Nヘルプを選択すると、dtstyleでコアダンプが取
られます。

xdmcp接続の確立時に、dtlogin内でいくつかの遅延問題が生じます。
名前解決にDNSを使用すると、ログイン画面の表示に時間がかかります。
たとえば、次のようなマシンのIPv6アドレスを使用すると、"X -indirect
query"が機能しません。
/usr/bin/X11/X :0 -indirect fe80::xxxx:xxx
特定ユーザーの場合、BYPASS Loginが行われません。

CDE Screen lock cannot be done if an ordinary login
user's password has been changed by "root",the switch
to user "root" being done by "su" command, and CDE
screen lock icon is pressed on the front panel.

in ja_JP.* locales

dtlogin has some delays in honoring xdmcp connections.
The Login screen takes up more time in case DNS is used

X -indirect query doesn't work if we use the IPv6 address
of the machine.

BYPASS Login doesn't happen for a particular user.

has been fixed for not checking
the stock Xserver configuration files.

Resolution:
All the keyholders added for the
Dtsession*keys resource, are able to
unlock the locked session.
4. Receiving dialog popups after screen
unlock on trusted systems.
Resolution:
The fix resolves the problem by
enabling the timeout feature.
The dialog popups now timeout after a
default interval of 30 seconds.
5. Wrong action data attribute when using CONTENT
data criteria.
Resolution:
dtfile has been fixed to show proper icons and
actions for all datatypes.
6. No Backslash in
/usr/dt/appconfig/types/ja_JP.SJIS/dtims.dt
file.
Resolution:
dtims.dt is fixed to eliminate
error from DtImsGetRemoteConf.
7. PAM_SESSION_ERR is not handled
in dtlogin.
Resolution:
dtlogin doesn't provide a session if pam_open_session()
fails with PAM_SESSION_ERR.
8. X Server query to self host fails when
the machine is IPv6 configured.
Resolution:
dtlogin is fixed to properly handle the
Xserver query to self host, in IPv6
configured mode.
9. Deliver "pc" virtual binding file and
aliases for PC X servers.
Resolution:
"pc" virtual binding file and aliases
are delivered.
10. mwm abort when reducing size of iconbox on screen 1.
Resolution:
dtwm, mwm do not abort when reducing the
size of iconbox on screen 1 in multiscreen
environment.
11. dtfile does not preserve file
creation times, like mv, when moving
files between disks.
Resolution:
Whenever a file is moved between disks,
it is first copied to the target disk
and then deleted from the source disk.
So to preserve the timestamps, the
creation time is obtained and
attached to the file copied in the
target disk, before the corresponding
file in the source disk is deleted.
Similar is the case for directories.
12. simplify dtlogin debugging & other args.
Resolution:
Three options namely, "debug", "nodebug"
and "start" were added to dtconfig to
simplify dtlogin debugging.
13. dtwm core dumps if Mail resource used.
Resolution:
Resolved core dump that occurs in dtwm
when Mail resource is used.
14. dtlogin does not show swedish locales.
Resolution:
dtlogin has been fixed to show all
locales for language selection.

1. Back up your system before installing a patch.
2. Login as root.
3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.
4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:
cd /tmp
sh PHSS_35885
5. Run swinstall to install the patch:
swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
-s /tmp/PHSS_35885.depot
By default swinstall will archive the original software in
/var/adm/sw/save/PHSS_35885. If you do not wish to retain a
copy of the original software, include the patch_save_files
option in the swinstall command above:
-x patch_save_files=false
WARNING: If patch_save_files is false when a patch is installed,
the patch cannot be deinstalled. Please be careful
when using this feature.
For future reference, the contents of the PHSS_35885.text file is
available in the product readme:
swlist -l product -a readme -d @ /tmp/PHSS_35885.depot
To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
tape drive, use the command:
dd if=/tmp/PHSS_35885.depot of=/dev/rmt/0m bs=2k
Special Installation Instructions:
The CDE environment must not be running when this
patch is installed. It is recommended that CDE be
shut down prior to patch installation.
The CDE environment can be shut down by running the
following commands as root:
- /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -d
- /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -kill
Note that these commands will terminate all CDE sessions
for all CDE users.
Once the patch has been installed, you may start CDE
back up with the following commands:
- /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -e
- /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start
